Rare Bird Sailing Team brings together sailors from Italy, Slovenia and Croatia. This international crew gives boat a soul, and teamwork achieves results. Its unique structure proves that the desire for a result knows no borders.
Team members are recruited from the best skiff sailors, which already have polished their sailing skills in our Sailing Center.
Brothers Giovanni and Roberto Tironi lead the Team. They sail professionally for over 20 years, and have competed in various classes and categories, from offshore regattas in the Mediterranean to the European Cup on the Olympic 49er class and the Boss.
Team manages to competes with it's own boat Amor, as well as at various monotype regattas.
Amor 56''is an offshore racing sailboat, entirely made of carbon composites. The world famous Studio Vallicelli developed ideas of brothers Tironi into design that was constructed in 2000. in shipyard Se.Ri.Gi. in Aquileia. Carbon hull was manufactured in Soleri Composites (Riviera di Rimini, Gaia Legend, Esimit Europe, Anyway True).
Aesthetically clean lines cleverly hide all its brutality, which leaves the competition far behind immediately after the start. More than 650m2 sail downwind can develop a speed over 25 knots.
The ships first performance was the Barcolana 2001. Since then, the boat has performed in 4-5 races annually, and has always placed among the top 4 overall. It is a regular guest on Barcolana and Mrduja, Croatia Cup, Viska regatta and Fiumanka.
